Meadowlark Optics has been creating world-class spatial light modulators and polarization optics from a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility since 1998. It all started in 1979, when Tom Baur, a researcher at the National Center for Atmospheric Research, started the company as an after-hours venture from a spare bedroom to design a device called Pockels cells. The venture got incredibly successful and we are proud today to be a partner of Meadowlark’s success story.
Today AVR Optics works closely with Meadowlark to provide the best in research grade spatial light modulators both in XY and linear configurations. As this technology has expanded into the wider research and manufacturing communities, we’ve had the pleasure of working with end-users to understand and qualify new and exciting applications for liquid crystal technologies.
